After living in the same home for 32 years and not ever having built before, we approached the process with much trepidation and excitement at the same time. We felt trepidation as we had heard so many different stories from other people but we were very excited we would be getting something brand new at the end of the process.

Therefore as first-time builders, we wanted to thoroughly research the builders and building process. We were perpetually impressed with Steve (and the team at Mayfair Homes). We found him extremely hard-working, thorough and prompt in his explanation of all aspects of the building process, and committed to working with us in building a high-quality custom home. Steve took a lot of stress out of building a new home and that was very important to us in the circumstances that we had. Steve is very knowledgeable and keeps up with the current trends and materials, as well as the legislation relating to building standards in the ACT. He is very creative and offered great ideas. The finishing carpenters and painters also did an excellent job. Everyone worked with us to build the home we wanted within our budget and time frame. The after settlement assistance has also been very good. Through the process, we became more than clients, we developed a good friendship.

We are very pleased with our home.
